We install a raised loft boarding system designed to create safe, usable storage space, protect insulation from being compressed, and maintain airflow within the loft space. Our installations are intended for light domestic storage only and do not constitute a loft conversion or structural alteration.
By accepting our quotation, either in writing or electronically, the customer agrees to these terms and conditions. A contract is formed once the quotation has been accepted and a deposit has been received.
A minimum deposit of 20% is required to secure your installation date, unless otherwise agreed with the surveyor or office. The remaining balance is due within 24 hours of completion. Failure to make payment may result in delays to work or withholding of documentation.
The loft boarding system is designed for light domestic storage such as boxes, decorations, and suitcases. It is not suitable for heavy furniture, gym equipment, safes, or concentrated loads unless specifically agreed in advance. Overloading the loft can cause structural damage and we accept no responsibility for damage resulting from misuse or overloading.
To maintain energy efficiency and prevent condensation, flooring is installed above insulation where possible and a ventilation gap is maintained beneath the boards. Existing airflow must not be blocked. We are not responsible for condensation issues caused by poor ventilation, existing property conditions, or alterations made after installation.
We take care during installation; however ceilings, particularly in older properties, can be fragile. Minor cracking or movement may occur as a result of works being carried out above plasterboard ceilings. We are not responsible for pre-existing structural issues, hidden defects, or conditions that were not visible or reasonably identifiable at the time of survey.
We work around existing wiring and pipework with care. Unless agreed in advance, we do not alter electrical systems and are not responsible for existing faults. Where electrical works are included, they will be carried out by a competent person. We are not responsible for faults in existing systems.
Responsibility for clearing the loft space will be agreed at the time of survey. Where the customer is responsible, the loft must be cleared prior to installation as advised. Failure to do so may result in delays, additional costs, or an abortive visit. After three failed installation attempts due to access or preparation issues, a full day labour charge may be applied.
If unforeseen issues are identified during installation, we will discuss these with you before proceeding. Any additional work required will be subject to additional cost and agreement.
All installations are carried out in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and industry best practice. The system must be used as intended.
We are not responsible for damage caused by misuse, overloading, or alterations after installation. We are not liable for defects or issues that were not visible or reasonably identifiable at the time of survey or installation.
We reserve the right to refuse or suspend works where site conditions differ significantly from those identified during the survey, or where it is not safe or appropriate to proceed.
You have the right to cancel within 14 days of booking. If work begins within this period at your request, you may lose your right to cancel and may be charged for any work completed or materials supplied.
All installations are covered by a 10 year workmanship guarantee. If you experience an issue, contact us by email at info@eazyloft.co.uk or telephone on 01254 268 333. We will arrange for a surveyor to assess the issue. Where the fault is due to our workmanship or materials, we will rectify it at no cost. This guarantee does not cover misuse, overloading, or alterations after installation.
We may take before and after photos for quality control, training, and record keeping. These will not include personal items without permission.
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. All work is carried out with reasonable care and skill in accordance with UK consumer law.
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
